The best option is for them to sign up to the award as well so that they have access to the award coaches, all of the templates and of course, so they can complete the award and get their certificates. Alternatively, they can just get involved in your challenges and support you but they won’t be part of the award.

This award is for anybody aged 18 or over. There is no upper age limit.

Absolutely! Elemental is completely adaptable so is accessible for everyone. You pick your own challenges and work at your own pace – nobody’s award looks the same as another. Yes, yes, yes! There are no borders in Elemental. As long as you can submit your challenges and evidence in English, we want as many people as possible to take on the challenge. Join our community, challenge yourself and protect the planet. It’s a win for everyone. As a UK based award our expertise is here and we would be very limited in our ability to connect you with your local volunteering opportunities or outdoor groups but the award works wherever you’re based.

Bronze level costs £40, Silver is £50 and Gold is £70

We currently sell gift vouchers for the Bronze award which you can access from the main menu. Currently there is not an option for your employer, or anybody else, to pay for the award on your behalf. You will however receive a receipt when you pay for your award sign up that you could submit as an expense.

If you’re not happy with your Elemental award or you bought it by mistake, we offer a full refund within the first 14 days of your purchase . You can see our refund policy here. If it is after 14 days and you're just not loving the award then we'll be sorry to see you go. You can cancel your award but you won't receive a refund. We'd love to know how we could improve or make your experience better (let us know at hello@elementalchallenge.co.uk). To cancel your award head to My Account, My subscriptions then click on Cancel my award subscription.

Bronze will take a minimum of three months, Silver a minimum of six months and Gold a minimum of 12 months. However you can take as long as you like to fit in with your other commitments, and, you know, life! Once you register you'll get access to our private Facebook group. You can hop on there and ask other participants for their thoughts or ideas. Alternatively you can contact the award coaches at any time via hello@elementalchallenge.co.uk

Once you've signed up you'll be able to submit your challenge plans in My Award where the award coaches will review them. Once they're signed off you can get started, keeping notes and records as you go. How do you prove you've done it? Well, you can take photos or video, write a journal, share media stories you've posted, create a presentation, download a gpx file or use strava to track a journey - the sky's the limit. As you complete each challenge you can submit your evidence via the hub, either one at a time or all in one go. Once you've submitted your final piece of evidence you'll let us know via the hub and the award coaches will review everything.

You mean apart from rapturous applause and the respect of everyone around you? You'll receive a certificate, both electronic and hard copy so you can display it proudly on your wall. You'll also get a super stylish patch to iron onto your favourite hoody, rucksack, pyjamas - well anything really. In addition, to build on your Protect challenge, we'll also plant a sustainable timber tree and protect three trees in an existing indigenous forest with Ripple Africa. No, we don't have an approved list - you can use any kit or clothing you already have or any of your favourite brands.

Not yet! But we're working on it. The site works brilliantly on phones or tablets so you can still access the award while on the move, or sitting on the sofa - your choice!
